LV Village concerts, big games and culture

LV Village concert
The festivities continue in LV Village with Friday night concerts (7 to 9pm) where you can enjoy music ranging from motown and blues to rock. This Friday we'll be enjoying the sounds of the VOC Sweet Soul Gospel Choir, and its range of toe-tapping, uplifting musical genres.

On Wednesdays from 6 to 8pm all sorts of cultural adventures are on the roster - learn to Waltz or listen to vintage vocals. Check out the schedule right here, and keep your dancing shoes handy!
On Thursdays, be sure to pop by for the weekly Big Games Night from 4:30 to 8:30pm. Giant-sized Snakes & Ladders, Checkers, Tumble Towers and more will be available for you and your friends!

* Head to the air-conditioned Lynn Valley library for its community Pride Celebration on Friday, Aug. 4 from 2 to 4 p.m. 
* Check out the recently opened Delbrook swimming pool!
* Have an ice cream cone from DQ or the newly launched cafe corner in Nourish Market in LV Village.
* Take a historical walk under Lynn Canyon's cool forest canopy with guides Max and Molly on Wednesdays and Thursdays. Details here!

Good news and bad news. The BC interior forest fire smoke looms over us once again, similar to last year, and as air quality advisories are in effect it's recommended to monitor reports such as the Weather Network regularly. The good news is that summer is just over half-way through, which means there's still plenty of time to stay cool by enjoying local lakes, ocean adventures and waterparks!
