on Sunday the 17th, and we know just what he wants - a pancake breakfast from the Lynn Valley Lions at Lynn Valley Days!
Sunday morning breakfast kicks off at
10 a.m. and there are plenty of activities for kids of all ages to allow parents time to linger.

A 2016 Vancouver Foundation survey found the issues of greatest concern to North Shore citizens are housing, transportation, and the environment. On Thursday, June 22 (6 - 8 pm), the Vancity community branch at 1370 Main St. (in the Canadian Tire complex) is hosting speakers on these topics and inviting discussion on any other issues of concern as well. Cafe-style chats and appies are on the menu, and you are invited! Contact Lauren at [email protected] or 604-877-2573 by June 14 if you would like to attend.

A very happy golden anniversary to Lynn Valley Barbershop in LV Mall! Owners Silvana and Geraldo are offering cake and treats from 1 to 3 pm in the mall this Saturday (June 10), and a BBQ on Sunday starting at 1pm. A cut-a-thon from 1 to 4 on Sunday will raise money for the Heart Foundation in memory of Silvana's father, Mauro. So be sure to stop by to say congratulations - the shop, which used to be by the Zellers' entrance is now off the mall's rear parking lot.

Lynn Valley Day is over 100 years old - and it's getting bigger and better all the time! We are as pleased as punch to be a main sponsor again this year, and we thank all the other citizens, businesses and organizations who have banded together to pull off this major event. There are even more ways to have fun in 2017, including a
Saturday evening all-ages dance that's only $25 per family! You can also enjoy an all-weekend
VIP Family Pass, which offers unlimited rides for four, pancake breakfasts, entrance to the family dance, and more -
but be sure to take advantage of this online offer soon, because June 10th is the final deadline for purchase!
 Also new this year is a
late-entry ticket for the
Friday night Gala, if you're more about dancing than dining.
On Saturday, of course, there is the ever-popular parade starting out from Mollie Nye Way at
9:30 a.m., rides and entertainment all day, and a beer garden for the adults complete with live music. Pancake breakfasts will kick off both
Saturday and
