Exciting news, the Easter Bunny will be visiting Lynn Valley!! He has asked the LynnValleyLife team make sure all the neighbourhood kids have the chance to do some egg-hunting, and when the Easter Bunny asks you to do something, you do it! The LynnValley Life Family Easter Egg Hunt will take place at Viewlynn Park on Easter Monday, April 17th 10am-noon. Stay tuned on our website for all the details.

Fire victims benefit concert - this Saturday!
Acoustic guitarist Stephen King will be hosting an evening of good music and good company at St. Clement's Church, 3400 Institute Rd, on March 11 at 7 pm. Come on out to support those who lost homes and belongings in the recent Upper Lonsdale apartment fire.

Is it just us, or does it feel like just yesterday we were setting our clocks back? Be that as it may, it's spring forward time again - at 2 a.m. on Sunday, March 12th. Sadly, it's time to pay back that extra hour of sleep we got last fall....

Spring Break camp puts kids in nature
Some people like to escape a drizzly Spring Break by chasing that surefire tropical sunshine - but for those who are staying in town, why not embrace our West Coast Rainforest climate? The Soaring Eagle Nature School offers camps for six to 12-year-olds; the adventuring will take place in the Lower Seymour Conservation Reserve. There are lots of great spring break programs at the Lynn Canyon Ecology Centre, too!

Snow showers bring spring flowers
|

Okay, what is with our unseasonably late snowfalls, spring still feels pretty darn elusive. But it's coming, we promise! Snowdrops and crocuses are blooming, and we've even seen tulips and daffodils (well, the latter were in pots outside of Safeway, but we still saw them).
 And speaking of grocery stores, we're sending a tip of the hat to this latest initiative of Save-On-Foods. They have introduced "free fruit" stations to keep kids occupied with a healthy snack while doing the rounds with Mom or Dad. Great idea!
So the flowers are blooming, the kids are eating healthy, and as you can see by the news at left, there are all sorts of springtime activities on the way. So don't let the weather get you down - sunny days are ahead!
