Rejuvenated LV Legion hosts ceremony at
Veterans' Plaza
We thought this would be a good time to bring you up-to-date on what's been happening with the Lynn Valley Legion since it reopened its doors. Click here to  read this story from our brand new contributing writer Robin Thorneycroft (welcome aboard Robin!), and make plans to attend the November 11 ceremony at Veterans' Plaza (across from LV United Church on Mountain Hwy, just above Lynn Valley Rd.) at 10:30 a.m. Everyone is invited to the Legion's open house for refreshments right afterwards!

Sponsor your LV Village Christmas tree today!
It's time to step up and sponsor a tree if your organization wants to take part in the 7th Annual Lynn Valley Village Christmas Parade of Trees. Your sponsorship and creative participation make this a much-enjoyed community tradition, and $50 from each tree is donated to the Harvest Project. All the details are right here on our our blog.

Too many leaves for your bin? Here's what to do
You either love this time of year: cool days, golden light, leaves to scuffle in, or you hate it: frost to scrape, short days and mounds and mounds of leaves to deal with. This fall's yard clean up is looking a little different. This is the first year there will be no paper leaf bags lining the streets of Lynn Valley... Find out more here

From autumn leaves to snowflakes!

We have had a gorgeous fall, and it sounds like this winter will be a doozy, too!

But there is one more important day to mark before we start our Christmas shopping, and that of course is Remembrance Day. Please see the neighbourhood news at left for the details of the Lynn Valley Legion's local ceremony at Veterans' Plaza.

The Legion is looking for poppy volunteers, too. You can spend a few hours with a poppy tray in the community, or take a tray to work with you. This is an important fundraiser for community causes! Please call
(604) 987-2050 if you can help.

And pssst! While we're on the topic of helping out, we're on the hunt for this year's LynnValleyLife Good Neighbour Award recipient. Does someone pop into your head? We'd like to hear about him or her. Please check out our blog post.
