Green Thumbs and Others Needed to Help Local Seniors
There was a curious post circulating a North Shore Facebook group: someone was searching for people who love to garden. The Lynn Valley Care Centre is looking for a volunteer or two who can share an hour of gardening with residents once or twice a week.

Ready for the summer forest fire season, 35 special recruits recently wrapped their initial wildfire training to form the District of North Vancouver Fire and Rescue Service's new extended operations unit.

Lynn Valley Live and Local Concert Series
The twice-weekly concert series is returning to Lynn Valley Village again this summer. Wednesday and Friday nights local artists will hit the stage for free evenings of entertainment.

Home seller supply grew as demand declined in the past month. With home sale activity dipping below long-term historical averages, the supply of homes for sale in Metro Vancouver reached a three-year high in June.
“Buyers are less active today. This is allowing the supply of homes for sale to accumulate to levels we haven’t seen in the last few years,” Phil Moore, REBGV president said. “Rising interest rates, high prices and more restrictive mortgage requirements are among the factors dampening home buyer activity today.”
“With reduced demand, detached homes are entering a buyers’ market and price growth in our townhome and apartment markets is showing signs of decelerating.”
