Culture Days

Highlights from The Glorious Mountains of Vancouver's North Shore will be shared at the upcoming Culture Days Festival in Lynn Valley.

The August housing market continued to experience a transitional period with reduced demand across all housing types. “Home buyers have been less active in recent months and we’re beginning to see prices edge down for all housing types as a result,” Phil Moore, REBGV president said. “Buyers today have more listings to choose from and face less competition than we’ve seen in our market in recent years.”
September generally brings with it a wave of real estate activity, with many buyers and sellers making decisions to move. For those looking to get into the market for the first time or upgrade from a home in the $1.4-$1.6M range to something a step up, there are some great opportunities in the increasing higher-end inventory.

The government is also currently creating a new, publicly accessible registry of who owns real estate in B.C. They are making the move in attempt to crack down on tax evasion through home ownership and this was created to improve transparency in the real estate market. Information is posted
