2025 A Year in Review

January 5, 2026

It has been a busy year for Lynn Valley. We were proud to share so many stories from athletes to artists from fundraisers to festivals. We have put together a list of our favourite and most popular posts.

Telling our stories

Our favourite stories of the year line up very close to the most-read stories on LynnValleyLife.com. Leading the pack was A Store with Purpose: creative waste reduction about the locally owned store, Urban Repurpose, that helps find new life for quality items normally sent to the dump simply for being old, outgrown, or no longer in excellent condition.

Another hot topic was the article Lynn Valley will split the election which highlighted the first year of a federal election where Lynn Valley electoral boundaries were divided by Mountain Highway.

Making a mark on the world stage this past year was Lynn Valley’s own athlete and veteran Assunta Aquino who won a gold medal at the Invictus Games in the presence of Prince Harry. Lynn Valley athlete and veteran taking on Invictus Games and a heart-warming follow up on her victories post-event.

These are the intriguing people and sense of place that make Lynn Valley a special community to call home.
