Awesome value in Lynn Valley - in the 800s!

For teens in Lynn Valley, the local library is becoming more than a place to borrow books. The North Vancouver District Public Library (NVDPL) is inviting young people to take an active role in shaping library spaces and programs through its Teen Advisory Group, also known as TAG.

Writers in Lynn Valley are being encouraged to step out from behind their notebooks. The North Shore Writers’ Association (NSWA) has opened submissions for its 30th annual writing contest, inviting writers across Canada to submit original work in fiction, non-fiction, and poetry. The contest runs from January 15 to March 15, 2026, and offers both cash prizes and publication opportunities.

Families in Lynn Valley and the Lower Lynn area will soon have more childcare options close to home. The province announced that 37 new affordable childcare spaces are now available at the Lynn Creek Community Centre in North Vancouver.
