Lynn Valley gets ready to celebrate the season

Each year, Christmas in our community glows brighter and brighter! This year there are even more activities, concerts, workshops and special events taking place throughout the neighbourhood.

CHRISTMAS TREE WALK

The Lynn Valley Community Association is teaming up with Lynn Valley Village and the Lynn Valley Lions to present A Christmas in Lynn Valley, featuring a decorated Christmas Tree Walk that will be twice the size of last year’s!

Come on out and wander through the twinkling forest to find your favourite decorated tree.  They’ll be officially lit up by North Vancouver District Mayor Walton on Sunday, Dec. 2 from 4:30 to 6 p.m. Don’t miss the fun, and the performance by Bobbi Smith!

Another new holiday happening is the “12 Days of Christmas” – festive entertainment that will fill the village each evening from Dec. 12 to 23. An exciting roster of music has been scheduled, with a wide range of performers – see the line-up, below! You’ll also see other special days in the Village during this period, like the LV Community Association open house on Dec. 12, and special activities for kids on the weekend of Dec. 15 and 16.

SEASON STARTS AT MOLLIE NYE

Of course, the Lynn Valley holiday season won’t officially begin until we celebrate the traditional lighting-up ceremony at Mollie Nye House, an event that features music and storytimes, carolling, hot chocolate, a lantern parade, and a very special guest. Bright Christmas with Mollie Nye will take place Saturday, Dec. 1 from 5 to 7 p.m.
