Local Real Estate Update
Like most of the region, prices in Lynn Valley are holding fairly steady. Regionally there was a 0.4% increase over February 2018 and this is a 7.4% increase over March of last year for detached homes. However, throughout the region there was a 29% decrease in the number of homes sold over March 2017 with attached townhomes and condominiums seeing the most transactions. Lynn Valley has seen a slight increase in the prices of attached homes and this is reflected regionally. 

The uncertainty around new financing rules and the recent changes announced in the budget are reducing transactions. Despite this, fairly-priced, quality homes are still selling. If you want to make a move this may be a good time as certain sellers may be more motivated with transactions taking longer than we have become accustomed to.
