From the last Friday in October to Remembrance Day on November 11th of each year, millions of Canadians wear a Poppy as a visual pledge to never forget those who sacrificed for our freedom. The Royal Canadian Legion invites everyone across the country to show their recognition by proudly wearing this symbol of Remembrance and taking a moment to reflect. The Poppy Campaign was created as a means to raise funds in order to perpetuate this sacred memory and provide for veterans and their families in their time of need.
The Lynn Valley Legion at 1630 Lynn Valley Road is once again focusing on remembering Canada’s veterans this Nov.11th and all are welcome.
