The countdown to Lynn Valley Days is on: a few tickets for the Friday night Gala are still available but be quick! Please note Lynn Valley Road will be closed Sat. June 16th from 9:15-11:15 am during the parade, and detours will be in place. Join us on the field afterwards for lots of rides, games and family fun!

Spring has finally – gloriously – sprung! We are so grateful for sun and some rain relief. We see lots of neighbours working in gardens, out on the trails and enjoying Lynn Valley in its prime. This warm weather also has us thinking a bit about the future.

Let’s hope the old adage is correct: that these April showers will bring May flowers. We would like to send a big thank you to all who came out to our favourite Spring tradition: our Easter Egg Hunt. It was our biggest ever and we hope to see you join us next year.

Winter sure has made it’s mark through February, I think we are all ready for the snow to fall on the mountains only and more warm sunny days to come our way.

Searching for crocuses and snowdrops can be egg-cellent practice for our upcoming annual Easter Egg Hunt! And if you haven’t yet – don’t forget to sign up for our promo with the Black Bear Pub!

Well, the long stretch after the holidays is almost over and hopefully the Family Day long weekend will bring some much needed downtime for everyone. Right on its heels, comes Valentine’s Day celebrations to spread some love around.

Have you seen the crocuses and daffodils appearing? Hooray, Spring is getting closer. Now’s the time to book a last minute Spring Break getaway or line up some activities if you’re already booked -don’t forget to check your passport. Planning a staycation? Check out our local ideas for kids below.

We hope that everyone heading back to school or work this week (or last!) is feeling refreshed from a happy Christmas that included some good “down” time with family and friends. Our very best wishes to you and yours for 2018!

Speaking of refreshed, we have been working away on an updated look for our LynnValleyLife website and newsletter. All the same great community info is there, but we hope that this new format puts everything right at your fingertips. Please have a look – and check out the work of our new community newshound, Robin Thorneycroft. We are delighted to welcome Robin to our team of people who love to promote all that is good about our neighbourhood!

The first weekend in December is always a special one in Lynn Valley, featuring the seasonal light-up of Mollie Nye House and the Christmas trees in Lynn Valley Village. This year was no exception, with many local residents coming out to have fun and join in the grand countdown to turning on the thousands of sparkling lights.
